Black Mage’s power lies in both its flexibility and the extremely high ceiling it has for crowd control and damage. However, BLM is also one of the jobs most vulnerable to pressure.
A successful BLM player understands the inherent fragility of the job. They maintain the delicate balance between aggression and defense, constantly assessing their surroundings to translate the intentions and mistakes of their enemies into strategic advantages. They read their teammates to assist in their goals and benefit off of their movement.
